Testimony Service

After dinner tonight we all gathered together in the sanctuary and six church members were asked to come on the stage to share their testimonies about how God has worked in their life and how they got to know Jesus.  They all came from either Sikh or Hindu backgrounds and all had really moving and touching stories.  One older lady’s story was especially touching to me.  She said that once she started reading the bible, she couldn’t put it down and scheduling her days around reading the bible.  She also said that God changed her way of thinking and Jesus turned her life completely around.  She even that she continues to start and end her day reading the bible, which inspires to want to do the same.   It was also inspiring to hear how they have had suffered in their families because of their Christian faith, but they are still as passionate about Jesus as ever.   We also sang some songs, which were all powerful.  I thought it was so powerful after hearing all of their stories to then sing together Amazing Grace.   I am really excited to pass out bibles tomorrow to people in their homes who have requested a visit and a bible.  I hope that God really speaks to them through us and uses us.
