After we finished our flyer routes, we all gathered in the church for dinner.  We had a great meal consisting of various Indian dishes with chicken, lamb, and naan bread.  After dinner, we set up for the youth club that evening.  There were around a dozen kids who showed up and they were all excited to be there and play games.  After we finished the small games we had a Bible story about Jesus raising a widow’s son from the dead (Luke 7:11).  Then, to wrap up the evening, we gathered the kids to play a game called “minefield” which is like dodge ball but there are no boundaries, and people who are out have to sit on the ground until they catch or throw someone else out.  The best part of my day was when Micah accidentally knocked over a soda bottle, which then flew across the floor shooting soda everywhere.

Today has been amazing, but really really exhausting. After a quick nap at the hotel, we headed over
to the church where we are holding the kids camp this week for orientation and to distribute flyers for the camp. After Barry had explained to us some basics for service in London, and how to identify gypsies, (Really!  There are Irish gypsies who have moved in to a public park near us), we were sent out to the neighborhood to invite the local kids. Matthew and I took a route up to some streets north of the church where we put the flyers into mail slots. Now the mail slots were not all the same, some let you just put the flyer through, others had bristles and extra doors, and others had “Beware of Dog” signs above the slot. It was really fun to be able to see the area and the people and I can’t wait for the real work to start!

Newark Update 2

We were able to get rebooked on a new flight to London!  It leaves a little later (9:30 pm), but we are grateful that all 17 of us were able to make it out tonight.  Thanks for praying!!!

Newark Update

Hello everyone! So quick update...we are in Newark right now and our first flight was successful and safe and all that. It cracks me up every time I look around and all of us in our neon orange shirts. A flight attendant told me that we were definitely not hard to find. Allayna, Josh and I met this guy named Len. He worked at Auntie Anne's and was very funny. When Allayna, Josh and I got our food we were heading back to our gate and found more of our fellow orange blobs. So Allayna and I ran back to Len with our fellows and said, "Len!!! We brought you more friends." Len liked our friends. Len is now our friend.  Then we had to board so, Goodbye Len. Goodbye Cleveland. Goodbye Harvest. Love you all!!

P.S.  Don't freak out or anything but, umm haha our flight was cancelled to London due to mechanical problems. It sounds like we may have been rebooked on a later flight tonight, but we are not sure yet.  So pray. Thanks
